How to Feel Better Right Away

Posted on December 21, 2020 by Felicie Kalais

Life is not easy and sometimes it can be hard. For example, we are living in a global pandemic that we never expected to see in our lifetime. Have you felt anxious or stressed over it? These are feelings that people have that leave them tired and depleted.

When you are dealing with your life and you are full of worries and stress, it can be hard to care for yourself. You will not have a life that is always full of happiness and peace and we all face problems.

You have to make a place where you care about your mental health and your spiritual needs. You need to make sure that you are caring for you so that you do not become unbalanced and anxious.

Being overly stressed can cause you to have a life full of hurt and pain and can cause you physical, emotional, and mental problems. It can even make relationships and your job harder.

Pay attention to the things in your life that you are doing and make sure that you are working towards a healthy path. You don’t have to work too hard to feel good.

Ways to Feel Better

Here are some ways that you can feel better in your life:

Say No

When someone asks you to do something and you are busy, say no. This is better than being stressed about it.

Water

Always drink enough water in the day. This can keep the toxins flushed out and keep you healthy.

Eat Healthy

Call Someone

Call your friends or family that you love to talk to and let them listen to your problems. They will love to hear from you and make you feel better.

Read

Take time to read a book. Snuggle under your blanket and let the stories fill your world.

Art

Look at some artwork and find ways to be creative. Draw your own pictures and hang them on your fridge.

Pedicure

Give yourself a pedicure and do your nails. This can help you to feel better. Your feet will love this, and you can do this by soaking your feet in Epsom salts and then scrubbing the dead skin away and then lathering up with some peppermint oil.

Music

Listening to music can calm you. Put on the radio and listen to your music and relax.

Sing

Sing to the music that you are blaring. Never be afraid to sing and this will help you to be more confident and to face challenges head on.

If you are tired, put on your pajamas and a mask and go to bed earlier than you normally do. You will feel better when you wake up in the morning.

Phone

Put your phone down and put it in another room so you aren’t tempted to look at it. This will give you some freedom.

You can write down in your journal about your day and you will be able to process your feelings and emotions better. You will feel better as you write about things that you love and things that upset you.

Breathe

You can take time each day to breathe and to practice deep breathing. Do this while you are at home, in the car or at work. Here are some ways to do this:

  • Feel your stomach and your heart.
  • Say to yourself, “I know how to breathe to be calm.”
  • Let the breath enter into you.
  • As you let the breath out, let out the stress.
  • Feel calm.

If you are still struggling with stress, lay down on your stomach and breathe until your breath is calm. If you forget to breathe and practice this, post notes around your home so that you will remember.

Make a note on your phone to remind you to practice breathing. Try this today and then you will see each day it will get easier.

Now that you know how to take care of yourself, do this and be more aware of what you are feeling and how to fix it.
