Loving and respecting yourself is something that you can only find in you. When you are busy and enjoying yourself, you will see that you can turn your emotions from happiness and self-knowing to doubt and insecurities. You might feel that when people ask you about what you do or what you are thinking that they are challenging who you are.
You might feel confident and know who you are, but one or two questions can make you challenge your position and make you feel that you are doubtful of who you are. You can realize that you do not have to prove yourself to others and that even if you have feelings of being a failure that you have to learn to have self-confidence.
Self-Confidence
Self-confidence means that you can trust who you are and what you are. You are confident in the skills that you have, and you are, but you can also have some insecurities such as speaking in public.
Self-Esteem
Self-esteem is how you see who you are. Your perception of you is your self-esteem and it doesn’t change no matter what the outside world says about you. You need to realize if you care for yourself and treat yourself with love and understanding.
If you are a high achiever, having self-esteem is hard because it causes you to feel insecure and worthy only if you are doing what is perfect. You might feel that you are not good enough and that can be one of your biggest breakdowns.
Loving
You have to be someone that learns to love who you are. This is hard to do, and this can be just building up love like you would for someone else, but this takes practice.
Focus on who you are and loving yourself. Learn to be someone that is possible and in love. Appreciate who you are and how you treat others. Be positive and be about who you are.
What Love Looks Like
Loving someone does not always go as planned and when things get hard and we mess up or get rejected, we have a hard time loving ourselves.
When we get into those times, we need to find out who loves you and what they would do if they loved you deeply. What would they say to you? Would they criticize who you are and judge you? No. They would offer to love you and be kind to you no matter what. Imagine that you are that person and you have to be that way to yourself.
Comparing
We have to stop comparing ourselves to others. We see our biggest mistakes and flaws when we compare to others. We are not going to be who everyone else is and we have to realize that we write our own story.
You never really know how someone else feels and you have to build your own path.
Creating Your Life
Have your own desires and take action to make those dreams come true. Take action and learn to love yourself and to live life of your desires.
You don’t have to do big actions you can just take action to have joy and caring and excitement in your life. This shows that you care about yourself and you want to see your dreams come true.
Guidance
Talk to your emotions and your spirit guides and find out what they want from you. Tell them how you feel about yourself and figure out what kind of things you need to change in your mind in order to see yourself as a better person.
Imagine who you are and replace what bad things or things that you feel that you fail at with something positive and learn to move forward.
Good People
Make sure that you surround yourself with people that inspire you and give you joy. Even if you are friends with someone, it doesn’t mean that they will be doing the right things to pick up your spirit. Do they show you mercy and care? If not, then stop hanging out with them.
Compassion
Many of us are upset with ourselves because we mess up and we realize that we beat ourselves up for everything.
Learn to be forgiving and compassionate with yourself. If you mess up, get up and do it again and do it better next time.
Healthy habits
Start having healthy habits such as eating, working out and doing things that actually get done.
If you don’t want to go to the gym, go for a walk or watch a video that can get you moving.
Negative Thoughts
Stop having so many negative thoughts. Figure out what your time means to you and take time to figure out your goodness and start doing things right. If you have thoughts in your mind that are hurtful to you, get rid of them.
Stop having negative thoughts and learn to be more positive.
Accept When You Cannot Love
Sometimes loving someone is hard and if you realize that you cannot love someone or some thing about yourself then learn to let them go. Instead of rejecting yourself or rejecting who you are, learn to accept it and learn to accept that the world does not revolve around that thing.
You don’t have to love everything about yourself in order to love who you are, you just have to accept that you are who you are.
Caring for You
Life has both ups and downs and you have to learn to care for who you are. Life can be loving one minute and hateful the next. You can be well this minute and sick the next. Life is life and it moves on.
Having self-love is not something that you can spare to give here and there, you have to learn to love yourself and have compassion and forgiveness when things don’t go the way you think they should. Let these things go and get back into it again.
Practice, practice and practice and realize that if you care about who you are then you are caring for the universe around you. This can affect others and make them learn to care more as well.
